Our commitment
Special educators, related service providers and families include people with disabilities. TPA Ventures aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our website and application, and to meet the Revised Section 508 Standards.
We also track the U.S. Department of Justice rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which adopts WCAG 2.1 AA for state and local government web content, because our public school customers are covered by it.
How we test
Automated checks run on every release. Each quarter we complete manual testing with keyboard-only navigation, NVDA with Firefox, JAWS with Chrome, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and 200% and 400% zoom. An independent firm audits the application annually.
Conformance documentation
We publish a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT 2.5, WCAG edition) for the application. Schools can request the current version at accessibility@tpaventures.si.
Known limitations
Uploaded evaluation PDFs that are scanned images are only as accessible as the extracted text; we run OCR but cannot guarantee reading order for complex tables.
The timeline calendar view's drag-to-reschedule interaction has a keyboard alternative through the event menu, but screen reader announcements of the new date are still being refined.
Some exported Word documents inherit formatting from district templates that may lack heading structure.
Accessible documents we produce
Draft IEP sections, prior written notices and reports exported from TPA Ventures use tagged headings, real tables with header cells and sufficient color contrast, so families receive accessible documents.
