TPA Ventures for Nebraska school districts and cooperatives.

Pre-configured for the 45 school days evaluation clock, Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards and Nebraska Department of Education monitoring.

The initial multidisciplinary evaluation must be completed within 45 school days of the district receiving written parental consent. NDE guidance adds that the state rule cannot exceed the federal 60 calendar days, so the shorter of the two controls.

How we configure Nebraska

Evaluation clock

The initial multidisciplinary evaluation must be completed within 45 school days of the district receiving written parental consent. NDE guidance adds that the state rule cannot exceed the federal 60 calendar days, so the shorter of the two controls. (92 NAC 51-009.04).

Initial IEP meeting

The IEP team must meet to develop the IEP within 30 calendar days of the eligibility determination, and services follow as soon as possible after the IEP is developed. (92 NAC 51-007; 34 CFR § 300.323(c)(1)).

Goal alignment

SMART goals aligned to Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards, plus functional and adaptive domains.

IEP system & forms

No single mandated statewide IEP system. NDE publishes model forms, and districts and Educational Service Units choose their own IEP software.

Transition planning

Transition components flagged for review by age 14, supporting Indicator 13.

Regulations loaded
