How we configure Utah

Evaluation clock

The initial evaluation and eligibility determination must be completed within 45 school days of the LEA receiving signed parental consent. The 45 school day timeline applies to initial evaluations, not reevaluations. (USBE Special Education Rules (R277-750)).

Initial IEP meeting

A meeting to develop the IEP must be held within 30 calendar days of the eligibility determination. (USBE Special Education Rules (R277-750); 34 CFR § 300.323(c)(1)).

SMART goals aligned to Utah Core Standards, plus functional and adaptive domains.

IEP system & forms
